A Thrilling Trip to the Magnificent Country of Singapore:
A group of young ICSKians along with their teachers-in-charge – Mr. Vinod Laxmanan, Mr. Antony Austin, Mrs. Beena Jerome, Mrs. Mariam Sam, Mrs. Deepa Biju and travel official from Ceasars Travels Mrs. Philomina set upon a journey to one of the most fascinating Asian countries, Singapore. The educational tour was preceded by a short gathering at ICSK, where the Principal, Dr.V Binumon briefed the team about all rules and regulations and wished them all the best.
On their arrival, the students were divided into two coaches and taken to the Hotel D’Resort located in Downtown East. Each coach had a local tour guide who briefed them about the things in Singapore. On the tour the team explored the South East Asia aquarium. They were amazed at the variety and beauty of the sea creatures dwelling at the aquarium. They had an interactive game of charades after which they left for the Night Safari to the world’s first nocturnal zoo. The team went on a tram ride and saw various nocturnal animals in their natural habitats including animals like the white Asiatic lion, Singapore’s first elephant calf ‘Neha’, tigers, hyenas etc. This was followed by a wonderful show titled ‘Creatures of the Night’ where they had a chance to learn about many nocturnal animals and their habits. And after dinner, they returned back to their place of residence.
The team also visited the Universal Studios of Singapore, beach Island, water front Island, Jurong Bird Park, Science Centre, Merlion Park, famous for its Merlion Statue which has a lion’s head and the body of a fish and is used as a mascot of Singapore. They also visited the new and old Supreme Courts of Singapore and much more.
